I act for a large number of land owners, owner occupiers and tenants in guiding them through the complexities of the Basic Payment Scheme stemming from the annual SP5 submission on 15th May. All Rural Land Register areas are checked using our Promap digital mapping system and I ensure that land remains eligible for payments by keeping up with Cross Compliance requirements, including:
- Soil Protection Review Booklets
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations for ploughing grassland
- Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ) record keeping compliance
Where land holdings change I will deal with the transfer, sale or purchase of BPS Entitlements, and set up agreements to ensure that my clients retain the value of their Entitlement even if not claiming against it themselves.
