Compulsory Purchase and Compensation

I have extensive experience in acting for private landowners and occupiers against acquiring authorities using their compulsory purchase powers, spanning the period from the construction of the M40 to the threat of HS2.

I provide the full range of services including representations in writing or in person to a Public Enquiry to challenge the scheme or to negotiate mitigation measures. I will advise on the service of Notices and undertake pre-entry meetings with agents and contractors to negotiate accommodation works.

Upon completion I will negotiate a program of reinstatement and oversee the works to completion. I will draw a compensation claim to account for all losses incurred throughout the scheme, submit and settle.

In the majority of cases the acquiring authority will reimburse the client for the cost of my fees in undertaking all of this work.
